Core Program Services
We serve as a resource hub that equips single fathers with the support, tools, and connections they need to strengthen their families.
We believe: Stronger Dads create Stronger Families.
Investing in single fathers helps transform generations.
Single fathers are raising families under a lot of pressure often without the financial, emotional, or community support they deserve. Yet every day, they show up determined, resilient, and committed to giving their children a better life.
Across the United States, 7.2 million single dads are doing this work largely unseen. There is a need, but there’s also an opportunity. When we invest in single fathers, we’re not just supporting one parent we’re strengthening their family, stabilizing communities, and creating generational change.
Our services designed to strengthen families, promote father engagement, and remove barriers that prevent single fathers from achieving stability and long term success. Our services focus on emotional wellness, parenting support, legal empowerment, educational access, and connection to essential community resources.

Legal Strategy Calls

We focus on matters involving custody, visitation, child support and family offense matter
Emergency Assistance
The Unity Support Fund provides financial assistance to single fathers striving to maintain family stability during periods of crisis. By addressing urgent needs, the fund prevents displacement, disruption, and hardship that can undermine a father’s ability to care for his children.
The fund can help cover:
- Childcare assistance paid directly to licensed providers so fathers can work, attend school, and stay stable for their children
- Short‑term rent support to help single dads maintain safe, stable housing. Payments go directly to landlords to protect continuity and security for the family.
- Crisis payments for fathers facing urgent emergencies to protect children from instability and hardship

By providing direct financial support for school related expenses, academic enrichment, and future planning, the program helps ensure that young people in these families can pursue higher education with confidence and stability

Ongoing Support & Resource Navigation
Through Ongoing Support, fathers receive monthly follow‑up calls with social workers who offer guidance, accountability, and emotional support. Many dads need help that extends beyond SDU’s core programs, and this service ensures no father navigates challenges alone.
Our team helps fathers access essential resources such as housing, employment, childcare and parenting support, education and training, emergency assistance, and community‑based programs. We walk alongside dads every step of the way, ensuring they are connected to every resource available to strengthen their stability and support their children.
