Dad Care Microgrant

Support for Fathers. Strength for Families

The cost of care can make it harder to seek support. The DadCare Microgrant helps eligible fathers pay for initial therapy sessions or insurance copays.

Fathers must attend a Dad Reset session before applying. Attendance provides access to the application pathway; it does not guarantee funding.

What DadCare May Cover

For fathers without insurance:
Two to three upcoming therapy sessions, within the approved award limit.

For fathers with insurance:
Up to three copays for upcoming therapy appointments, within the approved award limit.

Single Dads United pays the approved licensed therapist directly. Fathers do not receive cash payments or reimbursements.

All funded appointments must be approved in writing before they take place. Past sessions, outstanding balances for completed care, and previously paid copays are not covered. Deductibles, coinsurance, and missed-appointment fees are not automatically covered.

Who Can Apply?

Fathers in all 50 states may apply after attending a Dad Reset session.

Awards depend on available funding, confirmed costs, and provider availability. The therapist must be licensed and authorized to provide care in the state where the father receives services.

Having health insurance does not disqualify you.

Four Steps Toward Support

1. Attend Dad Reset

Join a live online session to connect with resources, professional guidance, and other fathers’ experiences.

2. Complete the DadCare Application

After your attendance is verified, share basic information about your location, insurance status, and therapy needs.

3. Receive an Eligibility and Funding Review

Our team reviews your application and confirms provider availability, costs, and payment arrangements. If you do not have a therapist, let us know you need help identifying one.

If approved, you will receive written details explaining the covered appointments and award limit before care begins.

4. Begin Your Approved Sessions

Attend your approved appointments. Single Dads United pays the therapist directly, and our team follows up to help address access barriers.

Before your funded sessions end, you and your therapist can discuss options for continued care.

Resources Beyond the Session

Enrolled fathers receive a resource kit with a keepsake journal, two pens, and practical resources for mental health, parenting, legal navigation, and family support.

Your journal is yours to keep. Writing is optional, and Single Dads United does not collect your journal entries.

Your Privacy Matters

We request only the information needed to review eligibility, coordinate support, and arrange payment. We do not require therapy notes or private journal entries.

During Dad Reset, sharing is optional. Participants are asked to respect one another’s privacy, although confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in an online audience.
